The past year has been a time of continuing and growing pain.
First my hip was just painful early in the morning for a short while.
Then I woke up with pain and stiffness and then the hours increased and the problem got worse.
Now I have pain all day and have to exercise in the morning to remove the stiffness a bit.
One of my feet is painful too.
I didn't realise why until a few days ago.
I'm wearing flip flops I got from a friend.
They're very expensive, and I guess that's why I didn't question them.
But they're not soft, like the ones I usually wear, but very hard.
I have to be careful not to slip from the stairs, because I can't feel where I am walking.
Due to the hardness the flipflops haven't taken the form of my feet and offer no support.
So I took the orthaheel sandals I bought last summer and tried them for a few days.
Gradually the pain in my foot disappeared.
I'm so glad to know it's not related to the hip pain.
It would have meant there's a very progressive muscle disease troubling my body.
It also proves how important good shoes are, even when you are at home.
