None knowsn, but I'm bringing my voice again to an acceptable singing voice.
My family had the genes of singers, conductors, organists and other musicians, and the knowledge has been passed on to me. So it's no problem at all to give my vocal cords the proper training.
In the past I've been a member of choirs for years. I've even been a soloist.
Years ago I said that I wanted to sing jazz when I was 50.
I still want to do that and it's time to realise my plans and dreams.
For my birthday I've asked an affordable shure sm58 microphone.
I can use it for performances, but also for rehearsals.
It's OK to listen to one's voice without equipment, but listening to a recording is different. It gives a better observation and insight in what others hear.
It's fun tghat my trainee also sings. She's a member of a jazzy band. I haven't heard them yet, but soon I will.
I'm so very much looking forward to it.
In the past I collected quite some music, including jazz.
As I have to be on the attic this week, I'll fetch it.
I saw there's also quite a large collection at the library. Some are for sale for only 1 or 2 dollars.
maybe, with a different planning now my presence is less required at the paper, there's time to have a good look.
It's fun to do what I like. Even though it's only for some short moments.
But I want to have my own microphone again which is an enormous motivation to realise a dream.
