The continuing story: moving towards a new start

september 17 2009

Today we, my autistic son and I, went to the daycare facility to see what he's going to do there, etc etc.

It was nice to meet the kind lady again, even though she parked us with tea and coffee for quite a while.
The facility is in a very old building, situated on one of the highest places near the river.
Because of the wonderful weather we could see very, very far.
My son just didn't care, but I enjoyed the view.

Waiting was OK for my son, I thought. It was a good way to get used to the sounds and smells.
It went through my mind that maybe they should request people who work there to wear sprotshoes. Some had half high heels and made a tremendous sound on the wooden floors.

It was a strange conversation, because my son couldn't answer most questions. He doesn't know what do to, what to chose.

Well, we agreed he will start friday next week (YES!!!!)
Next wednesday we will go there again to meet his tutor.

Before then we need to buy new black shoes, and black shirts or polos.
With his size, that'll be a job in itself.

But who cares.

He'll start two days a week, and when he's feeling OK there it'll go to 4 days.
Now and then it has to be a saturday or sunday.

He'll have a good time there, when he sets his mind to enjoying it all.

I'm looking forward to the changes it'll bring here.

For those who haven't been reading my former post: some jerk bugged my computer and disabled it. I'm using a computer now that is too slow to have fun.
I'm missing you!!
