no glucose teststrips anymore

july 10 2009

Anyone who knows something about my life can understand that dealing with diabetes is an additional joke of life.
I just can't understand there are people who are living a life without complications. They should take some of mine.

Today I heard that the insurance won't pay anymore for the glucose teststrips I'm using. OneTouch® Ultra® Teststrips.

It's another blow in the face.

  1. Sorry to hear that. Insurance companies are something else. You need to do a search for free monitors. As long as you get the meds from them I believe you get the monitor. Worth a try.

  2. Thanks for the advice, but it doesn't work that way in The Netherlands.

When you're using pills to control diabetes you won't get the teststrips.

  3. That's really f***k up..
Can't you use other medicine/brand? One they will pay for?
CZ for example will pay for the most medicines, as long as you use an alternative ones/brands...
    It's maybe worth trying?

  5. Sounds like you have your hands full. Autism is enough to handle...let alone another health problem. Hang in there!
