Manic Monday #140

november 3 2008

How many hours of TV do you watch per week?
Do you feel that's too much, not enough or just right?

Let's see:
As the World Turns: 5 hours
Holby and Casualty: 2 hours
News a total of : 1,5
Country Files : 1
CSI or so, movie : 5
Nature : 2
Travels : 2
That makes an estimate of 18,5 to 19 hours.

It's about right.
But maybe not enough when you consider that I'm cooking during As the World Turns and I often can't hear the TV in the other room. So I knit together all the passages I can hear.

It's too much, considering the advertisements in between. Those are a nuisance.

Which of the 5 senses do you feel is your strongest sense?

Hearing is.
I have absolute hearing, that means that I can hear when someone is even slightly off tome.

My sight is my biggest joy though.
I have never been able to see as much as other people and it's deteriorating.
So I enjoy programs about nature and other countries very much.
When I can't be there I might as well drink in what I see on TV.

But oh, how I wish to be able to go there... (there=everywhere)

What's the wackiest belief you held as a child?

That moms always loved their children and mine was the only one who didn't.
(So my kids are lucky to have a mom who doesn't want to make that impression.)

That the cow on the farm was looking to the horizon when he climbed on another cow. (Thanks dad! LOL!)

  17. I totally understand what you're saying about having the tv in the background and trying to piece together what's going on because you're doing 100 other things! Does that count as "watching" then?

Dad's always have the best "advice" don't they. Perhaps our wackiest belief should have been that dad's always tell the truth!
