Footproblems, an update

october 5 2008

Someone asked if I'm still having a painfull foot.

Yes, I have.

It's not as bad as a month ago, but when I squeeze the forefoot from both sides it's still hurting like hell.

Last week I got new soles. I was warned that it would take time to get used to them, and I can say the podotherapist was right.
Walking hurts a lot, because it feels like the left sole is too high and the right doesn't support my foot well enough. So the right one might have been higher.

No, I haven't interchanged them. LOL!

So when I wear them my foot, hips and even my back hurts because my body is forced into a strange position. Maybe it's trying to force my scoliosis to straighten up a bit. Ugh!

It's worse than treatment for Plantar Fasciitis. That's an inflammation of the tissue along the bottom of the foot that connects the heel bone to your toes.

In the mornings the pain is worst, bexcause the fascia tightens overnight, so wearing a night-splint to keep the foot in the right position helps.

Well, I hope they'll find out what the real problem of my foot is before it's too late.

  1. This is probably no help whatsoever - but have you asked your doctor whether a Tens machine would help? I'm not sure whether they have a different name in the States - so this is an English website if you care to take a look. http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/wps/portal
These are supposed to make your body produce natural pain killers - as I say I don't know whether it would be of use but it may be worth looking into.

Hope you soon find some relief. All the best, Polly
