works for me (backwards edition)

march 5 2008

Today "Works for me" goes the other way around.

So you won't get good advice, you'll get a question.

How do you keep all those girly hairthingies clean?
My twingirls have so many clasps and bows and such.

What do you do with them to clean them and to store them?

  1. Thanks for commenting at my blog. I might have to try your sunny face idea for my little guy!

Sorry I have no input on the hair things - my little girl doesn't have much hair yet!

  2. Thanks for the internet hug on my blog!

As for the hair-thingys, do you have a laundry bag for lingerie? I would just put the ribbons, etc in the bag and toss it in the laundry, unless there is one that is particularly delicate, in which case I would still put it in the lingerie bag and hand-wash it in the sink! :)

  3. Thanks for commenting on my blog for ideas to adjust our son to the new baby. I appreciate it.

As for your question, I think you could try using a little plastic box (maybe recycled from a product or a pencil box) to store them in. However, I can't keep track of my own barrettes and hairbands, so I can't guarantee that will work!

  4. I don't have any advice about keeping hair things clean because we rarely use what we have and usually lose the ones we do use before they get dirty.

To store them, I put the barettes in one small plastic box, the hairbands in another, ribbons in another, and bobby pins in a fourth. The headbands I lay flat in drawer space where I have room for them.

  5. Thanks for posting the wedding gift idea at my blog. I wish I had an idea for you, but I've got no little girls of my own and don't have that many hair items myself. Good luck!
